Fees & Terms


The DARP charge according to need, but generally:

  • Oliver’s hourly rate is £300 plus VAT.  Oliver’s charges will reflect the complexity of the work required and the ‘value add’ he offers.
  • For any ad hoc time-based work, his hourly rate is £300 plus VAT.
  • Facilitation services are charged at £5,000 per day plus VAT including all preparation time. Payment is required in full prior to the commencement of the facilitation services.
  • One day awareness raising sessions (two hours) are charged at £750 plus VAT per person with a minimum charge of £4,500 plus VAT (including all preparation time) which is based on a maximum of six attendees. If further attendees are required we will discuss any additional cost with you.  Payment in full for these awareness sessions is required in full in advance.
  • Full day workshops (eight hours) are charged at £6,000 plus VAT (including all preparation time) based on a maximum of eight attendees. If additional places are required we will discuss any further costs with you. Payment in full is required prior to the commencement of the workshop.
  • Travel time is included however expenses, where applicable, are charged at net cost.

Unless as set out above The DARP’s invoices are due for payment in full within seven days of issue.


The DARP will levy no charge if cancellation of workshop or awareness raising sessions or facilitation services occurs more than seven days before the scheduled date. In the event that cancellation occurs seven or less days before the scheduled date The DARP’s full fee will be payable unless agreed otherwise. In the event of a postponement or re-scheduling of The DARP’s services to a date within two months of the original date no additional charge will be incurred however in excess of two months The DARP reserve the right to charge 25% of the total fee plus VAT in addition to the agreed fee.


In the very unlikely event of a complaint arising it shall be raised initially in writing to The DARP and in the absence of its resolution it shall be referred to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators complaints service via complaint@ciarb.org
